City Bike Lanes Now Open for the SeasonFollowing delays caused by extended winter weather and debris accumulation, Thunder Bay’s on-street bike lanes are now open for the season. They will remain in service until November 15, 2025, weather permitting.

Road and Sewer Work to Close Section of MacDonell Street Starting May 20Beginning Tuesday, May 20, MacDonell Street will be closed between Central Avenue and Squier Street to allow for essential road and sewer infrastructure improvements.
The closure is necessary to complete the installation of a storm sewer system, as well as curb and gutter work, followed by asphalt paving.

Access to the compost pick-up area is located east of the old landfill entrance on John Street Road.
